This spring is included in all smart track rudder blades. Is it fitted to the Rudder blade and hidden in the sheaves of the Rudder housing. A rudder raise/lower cord or uphaul line is required for rudders with this spring to secure the blade in the compressed position and move the blade in the other direction to the spring, however many ski’s just leave the rudder in the deployed position without this extra outfitting (uphaul Rudder raise lower).
