Nylon Plastic Buckle to suite 25mm or 1 inch webbing, Normally sewn or fixed onto one piece of webbing with a second piece threaded through the remaining slots. Used to connect two pieces of webbing together whilst still allowing length adjustment. Common uses are shoulder straps of backpacks where the padding connects to the webbing near the hip or on the back of kayak back bands. Ladder locks differ from Tri Glide buckles in that they have a (thumb) tab to allow easier webbing length adjustment, but can be used in exactly the same way to close a loop of webbing etc. locking in place. This is the shorter length for heavier duty loads compared to the longer ladder lock with more leverage when loosening.-
