This is a larger rudder blade designed primarily for use on Tandem kayaks (Tarpon 135T or Polaris 180T Sea Kayak etc.) it will also work if you would like a deeper rudder blade on your kayak for some reason (Perhaps you have a higher volume sit on top fishing kayak etc.) The over size rudder blade has a foil-shape for more efficiency and less drag in the water than a flat blade. This replaces both the older tandem and large rudder kits (The tandem extension kit is an add on that can be fitted to some tandem kayaks and is and used if you want dual controls so the front person to control the rudder as well/instead) Comes with instructions, that cover a range of models but may not include specific instructions if you have an older model kayak. This is otherwise largely the same as the standard Rudder kit from Wilderness Systems and can be used in a bayonet or through mount gudgeon system (All rudder compatible wilderness systems kayaks use one or the other). Please note that the rudder blade is longer and this may cause problems when it is folded up for transport as it will project further along the back deck.
