Suitable as a replacement for a damaged or broken underslung rudder on Stellar Surf Skis or if you wish to swap out the trailing rudder for an underslung rudder on ski’s like the Puffin and Kingfisher where this is not supplied as standard. Underslung rudders provide greater control with less drag especially in chop where your trailing rudder may pop out of the water. However they are less suitable for shallow water where they hit underwater obstacles.. This is a replacement rudder blade only- If fitting from scratch you will also need the Stellar Rudder Yoke to connect to the foot pedal steering lines. Construction: Carbon Fibre with Stainless Steel Stellar Kayaks use a different shaped blade for their underslung rudder. This surf ski model is not an appropriate replacement for sit inside kayaks.
