Designed to work with Perception kayak models featuring a molded rudder post hole on stern. Includes detailed instructions and all parts needed for installation. Not compatible with Perception models featuring threaded stern inserts for attaching a rudder mounting block (these models will require the perception short pin rudder kit). The Rudder pin is 3/8 inch in diameter (9.5mm approx) and 8.6cm Long (3 3/8 inches). You need the pin to extend out of the mount by at least 6/7mm from the bottom. This is to allow for the fitting of the included rudder pin/split ring. Note that the footrest rails (that allow rudder foot controls to work) are screwed into existing holes used by the fixed footrests. In the perception and dagger brand kayaks these are the standard Keepers footrests and have the common keepers brand space between mounting holes.
